Nandana's Campaign "No One Illiterate" For Underprivileged Kids

THE BACKGROUND

While education is a fundamental right, it remains a distant dream for many children in India. For families that live in extreme poverty, sending their children to school is an expensive affair. Attending government schools is also difficult as they have to pay for books, uniforms, and transportation. Parents who have not experienced the benefits that come along with education such as an increase in earnings and quality of life don't know what they are missing out on by pulling their children out of school. They prefer to send them for work or get them married. This is why it is a cycle. Children who grow up without education are less likely to send their children to school.

There is an urgent need to provide remedial classes to bring these children into the light of education.

MISSION "NO ONE ILLITERATE"

Support And Care Humanity Foundation, an NGO based in Delhi is committed to providing after-school remedial programs for underprivileged children through the 'No One Illitrae' initiative. This will help children cope with their studies which they missed in the past year. These are underprivileged children who are enrolled in government schools (Grades 1-12). Community-based cluster classes are conducted in Lucknow and Gurgaon. 

The students are provided with free education, stationery, books, and mid-day meals. This helps give them a bright future and get their families out of the vicious circle of poverty that plagued them for generations.

Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as Support And Care Humanity Foundation as an NGO is a registered trust and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT Act.
